ArriveCAN Form for Canada

Canada has introduced a new health declaration form to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All individuals traveling to Canada are now required to complete an ArriveCAN form before entering the country.

Governments around the world have implemented similar health certificates in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The contact details and travel information provided can be used to more effectively track overseas visitors and minimize infection rates.

After registering their details with the online ArriveCAN system, travelers are issued with a reference number and barcode which they will be required to present on arrival.

Who Needs to Complete the ArriveCAN for Canada?

As part of coronavirus travel restrictions in Canada, all overseas visitors are required to fill out and submit an ArriveCAN form.

Travelers are advised to submit the health certificate electronically before departure in order to avoid being held up at immigration. Anyone who arrives at the port of entry without having previously completed the application will be required to do so electronically before crossing the border.

If you are fully vaccinated and arriving Canada by Land, you may qualify for a one-time exemption for not using the ArriveCAN form only on one trip; on subsequent trips, you are required to submit an ArriveCAN form before arrival.

Information Required to Register for an ArriveCAN

To successfully complete the ArriveCAN Form, travelers must provide basic personal data, contact details, and travel information, including:

  • Full name, age, and nationality
  • Email address and mobile telephone number
  • Date of arrival and departure

Travelers are also asked to declare whether they are currently experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. All the information provided must be accurate and truthful.
